'African Night' in aid of Water for Life
On November 20th, Al Madad held a very special fundraising evening in conjunction with the Albion gallery, London to support the Water for Life project. Eight leading artists from the world of international contemporary art had generously donated works to be auctioned on the night. These works of art, along with a number of other high profile lots (very generously donated by a number of our supporters) were successfully auctioned to raise money to provide clean water in some of the poorest areas of Niger. Guest of Honour, Andrew O' Hagan and the wonderful band Etran Finatawa entertained around 200 guests. The evening also saw the launch of the latest Silent Witnesses book, Desert Faces, with an accompanying exhibition of large format prints.
