Desert Faces Exhibition featuring at Sony World Photographic Awards

Cannes, April 14th-19th 2009.

We are very proud to announce that Desert Faces: Silent Witnesses of the Niger Drought was invited to exhibit at the 2009 Sony World Photographic Awards. The Awards are international recognition at the highest level of the work of the Silent Witnesses photographers who travelled around Niger to document the suffering and fortitude they found there. The exhibition appeared alongside those from photographic legends such as Marc Riboud and the Magnum photographers Bruce Davidson and Stuart Franklin.

You can still help support Al Madad's work in Niger by buying the new book Desert Faces: The Silent Witnesses of the Niger Drought and/or an archival framed print of any of the photographs featuring in the Cannes exhibition.
