Silent Witnesses

Silent Witnesses is an ongoing project, launched in 2004, aimed at raising awareness about international relief efforts. By using an artistic platform, the visual serves as a universal language with which cultures, customs and the everyday are portrayed in the rawest and truest of senses. This initiative has seen photographers travel to various countries – namely Palestine, Kashmir, Niger and Gaza – to capture their environments and the communities that such an initiative reaches out to. The result is a compilation of 200+ page, high quality photographic print books with original drawings from the children in the villages and camps, as well as a travelling exhibition of large format prints from such a journey.
