Small Grants Call 2026

Building women’s ability to provide for their families and act as agents of change in their communities

Projects to be implemented in Lebanon, Jordan and Egypt

Projects up to £10,000 (five grants available)

What is the AMF Small Grants Programme?

Through this programme, AMF aims to support smaller/newer organisations in building their skills in important areas such as proposal writing, project development, and monitoring and evaluation. As part of the initiative, recipients will also receive funding for a specific project to enable them to apply their learning.

AMF’s objectives are to support emerging civil society institutions in delivering creative and innovative solutions to specific problems facing forcibly displaced women and children in the Middle East. AMF will work closely with the recipients of the small grant and provide practical tailored training to help them build main administrative and programmatic skills.

About the AMF Small Grants Programme:

Training will take place via webinars and video calls, using reference materials, sample documents, and templates based on each organisation’s needs. Following this, AMF will work with the recipients as they implement their projects to provide advice and assistance as needed.

5 grants of £10,000 each will be awarded.

Eligibility:

This award is for small charities registered and working in Lebanon, Jordan, and Egypt. AMF recognises that due to their limited time of operation, those applying will most likely not be able to provide extensive supporting documents (audited accounts, etc.). In this respect we are happy to work with applicants on alternative verification.

While AMF will consider projects for youths aged 15-24, our focus is on ‘children’ (defined by the UN as aged under 18) so we would expect a significant proportion of any project targeting youths to include the 15-18 age-group.

For the purposes of this call, AMF will also consider projects focusing on building women’s ability to provide for their families and be the main agent of change in their communities.

Sustainability of projects:

As these are ‘small grants’ we encourage applicants to consider projects with a defined end-point which is made clear to the beneficial group. Applicants might also consider projects which seek to prove the benefits of a particular intervention on a target group with results which could encourage other prospective funders (e.g. a school paying for sessions with a freelance therapist for a set number of pupils).

Selection:

Applicants will be ranked based on-

• The sense of urgency of the project idea

• The developmental stage the organisation is at, at the time of application

• The proven need and interest in improving their capacity

Requirements of successful applicants:

• At least 3 video calls/webinars with AMF over two months before the grant project begins

• Adherence to AMF’s reporting guidelines (to be defined ahead of signing MOU)

• In person meetings when possible and requested by AMF team in the recipient’s country of implementation

• Willingness to communicate with/support/form an active network with the other grantees – this will include but is not limited to: sharing your name, job title and organisation with other attendees on video webinars and participating in group activities

Please read our FAQs and Managing Director’s blog series before applying.
